Heidi Douglas, daughter of the original owners and her parents Robert and Marlene O'Neill, shares the rich history and unique client experience that have contributed to the success and longevity of Regal Upholstery and Drapery.
The Origins of Regal Upholstery:
Founded by Robert and Marlene O'Neill, Regal Upholstery & Drapery started as a small venture in 1974. Heidi shares the business's evolution, recounting her dad's entry into the furniture industry and his unplanned journey into upholstery. With a blend of determination and on-the-job training, Regal was born, now celebrating 50 years of service.

The Evolution of Regal Upholstery:
Heidi narrates her journey within the business, starting as a high school student doing various tasks. After a stint in the Marine Corps, she returned, learned the art of upholstery from her father, and gradually took on more responsibilities. The transition to ownership occurred about a decade ago when Heidi and her husband John, who also worked in the business, assumed full control.

The story delves into the role of Heidi's mother as the backbone of the business, acting as the salesperson in a pre-digital era.
